SKATE!  A Night at the Rink 
Thurs., July 24th and Sun., July 27th at 8pm
Playland Skate Center, 8822 McCann Drive

Forklift presents this new work set entirely on roller skates at Playland Skate Center. The evening features Forklift dancers and a cast of amazing community roller skaters. Listen to a score filled with your favorite skating tunes while you watch Forklift celebrate all there is to love about life at the rink. Admission is $15-$20 and includes a pass for roller skating after the show- skates included!

Tickets will be available via our website in July.

Trash Project - Phase 1
Forklift has begun work on a new project about trash and the people who pick it up with the City of Austin Solid Waste Services Department. Stay up-to-date on Artistic Director Allison Orr's progress via our blog. Phase 1 of this project will include initial research such as interviews with front-line workers and site visits to recycling centers and landfills. Look for the culminating performance, trash trucks and all, in 2009. 

Leaps and Bounds - creative movement program for young children
Now in its 8th year, these classes serve poor and working class children and their families at two Austin schools- Allison Elementary School and Mainspring Preschool. Classes run October '07- May '08.
