Award-winning Forklift Danceworks was founded in 2001 as a producing agency for the work of Allison Orr, Artistic Director.

Our Mission
FLDW envisions a world where art and creativity are at the core of our daily lives. Through its performances and collaborations, the company seeks to enable people to connect with that which is larger than themselves, often in unexpected ways. FLDW values creativity, diversity, and connection, and the dances produced by the company serve to demonstrate our core belief that all people are inherently creative. 

As Forklift Danceworks works with a wide range of performers, company members have included Venetian gondoliers, dogs and their owners, Elvis Impersonators, firefighters, trained dancers, and women over 60. The company “roster” is always changing--maybe you will be a member of Forklift Danceworks one day!
