Transit premiered in Austin in January of 2005 and is a dance for two women in their 30’s and two women 65+. This cross-generational dance explores themes of aging and transition in a quirky, theatrical way with vivid costumes and choreography on roller skates. Transit also investigates friendship and closeness, and one audience member wrote in response to the dance, “...there was such a tenderness in it, a sense of connection between the two older women who gave the impression of having been close for a long time, and that sense of friendship or love enduring through the years, was quite affecting.” Performers of Transit at its premier were: Patricia Fiske, Theresa Hardy, Sally Hengst, and Allison Orr.
