“I feel like I’m changed after seeing RE Source and I want everyone I know to experience it!” - Goodwill employee
On February 12 & 13, Forklift Danceworks and Goodwill Central Texas were proud to present RE Source, a free, immersive dance performance that showcased the elaborate services of Goodwill Central Texas’ 125,000 square foot recycling and redistribution center! Directed by Associate Choreographer Krissie Marty, the performance featured Goodwill employees as the performers, with choreography of RE Source drawn from and inspired the employees' everyday work. The audience moved through a one-of-a-kind set and lighting installation of warehouse equipment, machinery and processed materials curated and designed by Stephen Pruitt. Accompanied by original live and recorded music by composer Graham Reynolds, the performance featured three percussionists using drums and found objects throughout the warehouse. From circling tractor trailers and skillful maneuvering of forklifts to packing boxes for shipping, the dance celebrated the hardworking and generous employees of Goodwill.
